Unite. Inner strength. Self balance. Empower up. Everything we do on Kylemore Road comes back to those, from a four year old's first class to a competitor's last round before a tournament.
Made in Brazier. What the room builds is not a hobby and not a highlight reel, it is a way of carrying yourself off the mat.
We see Jiu Jitsu as a connection that runs deeper than the surface: a practice that develops the individual and builds a community at the same time, across every background that walks through the door.
Physical mastery is the way in, not the point. A student learns to move, then learns to stay calm while somebody else is trying to stop them moving, and that is where the real work starts. Courage first, then confidence, then the ability to help the person next to you find both.
That is why we measure a class by the room, not the medals. Beginners are looked after by the people who were beginners last year. Competitors sharpen themselves on partners who have nothing to prove. Everyone leaves with something they did not walk in with.

Communicator · Ladies self defence and Jiu Jitsu coach
Jaque will show you how to bring self awareness and how to build confidence through action.
Three age bands, because a six year old and a thirteen year old need different classes, different partners and a different tone of voice. Four to six learn to move and to listen. Seven to nine learn the positions properly. Ten to fourteen train close to how the adults do.
Parents can watch every class from the side of the mat, and train themselves in the adult session that follows. Progress, gradings and attendance are visible to the guardian account in the academy app, so you can see how the term is actually going.
A clean mat on the first floor north at Motorcity, Kylemore Road, with changing rooms, parking on site and a wall for the team's kit. Nothing about the room is trying to impress you. It is a place to train, kept the way a place to train should be kept.
