Monthly vs. annual plans
Monthly plans
Monthly plans are the most common. Members pay each month and can cancel per your gym's terms. They're lower commitment for members and require less upfront investment.
Annual plans
Annual plans are paid once per year as a single lump sum. Set the plan's billing interval to annual and price it at your annual rate. Annual plans typically offer a discount, equivalent to a month or two free, to reward members for committing.

Creating annual plans
Create a plan with the annual billing interval and set the price to your annual rate. For example: €120/month x 10 = €1,200/year, giving members two months free.
Mixing monthly and annual
You can have both active simultaneously. Members choose which they prefer at checkout. Most gyms list both options with the annual clearly marked as better value.
Paying monthly for an annual commitment
If you want members committed for a year but paying monthly, create a plan with monthly billing and a 12-month minimum term. MatPilot shows this as a contract length on the plan and can warn on an early cancellation. This isn't a separate "installment" plan type, it's a regular monthly plan with a minimum term attached.
Annual renewal reminders
MatPilot doesn't automatically email or push members before their annual renewal. If you want to give annual members a heads-up, send a one-off announcement, push and/or email, a few weeks ahead. You can do this from Settings or by asking the AI assistant to broadcast it to the relevant members.
