Undoing a cancellation

A membership winding down is not gone. Until the end date passes, one button keeps them.

Keep member

Open the member, go to Membership. While a cancellation is scheduled, the Cancel button is replaced by Keep member.

Tapping it clears the scheduled end date and the membership carries on as though nothing happened. Billing resumes on its normal date. Nothing needs re-creating and they keep their history, their belt, their attendance.

Why it is yours and not theirs

Once a cancellation has an end date, the payment provider's own page offers no way back. Rather than leave a member stuck, the undo sits with you. It is also the honest place for it: a member who has served notice under an agreement is leaving unless the gym agrees otherwise.

What it cannot do

  • It cannot revive a membership that has already ended. Assign a plan to start them again.
  • It cannot undo a payment. If you ended someone immediately and refunded them, keeping them does not take the refund back.

A word on winning people back

The scheduled end date is the useful part. A member who cancels in the first week of a notice period is someone you still see on the mats for weeks. That is the window for a conversation, not the day the billing stops.
