How billing works in MatPilot

Fifteen cards charged after class and you didn't think about one of them; here's how the money flows.

The payment flow

  1. Member pays - the member's card is charged by Stripe
  2. Funds go to your gym - the money lands in your connected Stripe account
  3. Platform fee is deducted - MatPilot automatically takes a small percentage as a platform fee
  4. You keep the rest - funds are paid out to your bank account on your Stripe payout schedule (usually 2-7 days)

What MatPilot charges

Pricing has two parts: a flat monthly fee for your MatPilot subscription, and a percentage taken automatically from each payment your members make. Pro accounts pay a lower percentage per payment than the Free plan. Check your exact rate in Settings, or see current pricing at matpilot.io.

Stripe's own fees

In addition to MatPilot's platform fee, Stripe charges its own processing fee (typically 1.4% + 25 cents in Europe, varies by country). This is separate from the MatPilot fee and is handled directly by Stripe.

When members are charged

  • Subscription plans - charged automatically on the renewal date (monthly or annually)
  • One-time packs - charged at the time of purchase
  • Programs / courses - charged at checkout

Payout timing

Stripe pays out to your bank account based on your payout schedule (set in your Stripe dashboard). Most accounts are on a 2-day rolling payout.
