Money

See what every payment really costs.

When a member pays $100, less than $100 reaches your bank. Most software shows you one number and hopes you never ask where the rest went. MatPilot shows the whole breakdown on every single payment, straight from Stripe: the processor's fee, our fee, your net.

Three numbers, not one

Every card payment has three parts: what the processor takes, what MatPilot takes, and what lands in your account. MatPilot puts all three on the payment itself. The processor's fee is read from Stripe for that exact charge, not estimated, not averaged. MatPilot's platform fee is 0.49% on the Pro plan and 2% on Free, and it is printed right there next to it. What is left is yours.

$100.00 one card payment from one member EXAMPLE Processor's fee $3.20 illustrative, read from Stripe MatPilot fee · 0.49% $0.49 Pro plan rate, on every payment Your academy keeps $96.31 paid out to your bank by Stripe
The anatomy of one payment. The processor's $3.20 is an illustrative example (Stripe's standard US card rate is 2.9% + $0.30); on your screen it is the real fee Stripe charged on that exact payment.

The numbers come from Stripe, not from us. MatPilot reads each payment's actual fees out of your own Stripe account. If the processor charged a few cents more on one payment and a few cents less on another, that is exactly what you see, payment by payment.

Your money never touches ours

MatPilot runs on Stripe Connect: your academy connects its own Stripe account, and members pay you directly. Card, your Stripe account, your bank. The money never passes through MatPilot. Our 0.49% is collected as a fee on the payment, the same way the processor's is, so there is no day where your revenue sits in somebody else's account waiting to be forwarded to you.

Member's card Your academy's own Stripe account Your academy's bank MatPilot never through MatPilot
The path your money takes. The detour does not exist: MatPilot is software next to the payment, not a stop on its way to you.

That is the difference between a payment processor and a payment collector. A collector takes your members' money into its own account and forwards it to you on its schedule. With MatPilot, the Stripe account is yours, the payouts are yours, and the relationship with the money is between you and your bank.

Where you see it

Open the Payments screen and tap any payment. It unfolds into the three lines: what the processor took, what MatPilot took, what you kept. No spreadsheet, no month-end statement, no reverse-engineering a lump sum. Every payment answers for itself.

One tap, three lines. The amounts shown are an illustrative example; each row on your screen carries the real figures from your own Stripe account.

Cards or ACH, and the number that decides it

In the US the two rails are not close. Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 on a card and 0.8% capped at $5.00 on ACH bank debit. On a $150 membership that is $4.65 against $1.20, every month, per member. Nobody notices, because the fee comes out before the money arrives and there has never been a screen that put the two totals next to each other.

MatPilot does the sum on your own payments: what your card payers actually cost you last month, and what the same members would have cost on ACH. Then it lets you invite them to switch, and reward them for it if you want to. The difference stops being a guess and becomes a number you can act on.

FEE ON ONE $150 MEMBERSHIP, PER MONTH STRIPE US RATES Card · 2.9% + $0.30 $4.65 processor $0.74 MatPilot 0.49% ACH bank debit · 0.8%, capped $5 $1.20 $0.74 $3.45 a member a month, $345 a month across 100 members
The same member, two rails. Computed from Stripe's published US rates on a $150 monthly membership. Your screen does the same sum on your real payments, at your real prices.

The honest version of the pitch. ACH is cheaper, not free, and not right for everybody: it settles slower than a card and the member has to authorize it once. We would rather show you the real gap on your own numbers than put a made-up percentage on a landing page. The screen does the math on your real payments and you decide who to move.
