Built in Dublin. Priced in euro. Ready for Revenue.
An Irish company, an Irish bank account for the payouts, Irish VAT on the invoices and Xero at the end of it. The admin of running an academy here, done the Irish way.
Pro is €79 a month plus 0.49% on payments. VAT at 23% on the subscription, invoiced from Ireland.
Most gym software is American or British. The prices come in dollars or pounds, the VAT is a field you fill in yourself, the accountant gets a CSV, and support is awake when you are asleep. It works, in the way a jacket a size too big works.
MatPilot is a Dublin company selling to Irish academies first. Our first customer is a jiu jitsu academy in Dublin 1 whose co-owner is an accountant, and the product was shaped around what he would not accept: hand-keying every Stripe payment into Xero for VAT.
The payment, the VAT rate and the ledger entry are one thing, not three.
Five things that only matter if your academy is here.
Payments in euro, to your own Irish account
Members pay by card or SEPA direct debit through Stripe Ireland, and the money settles into your own Stripe account and on to your Irish bank account. MatPilot never holds it.
The platform fee on Pro is 0.49% of each payment, on top of Stripe's own. Most platforms take 2 to 3%. On €9,000 of memberships a month that is the difference between €44 and €270.

Irish VAT, per plan, into Xero
Fitness in Ireland is not one VAT rate: a membership that is use of facilities and a course that is tuition can sit on different rates, and getting it wrong is a Revenue conversation. Each plan carries its own VAT rate, every invoice shows it, and the Xero integration maps each rate to your own Xero tax rates.
Each Stripe payment becomes an invoice and a payment in Xero against a clearing account, so a payout reconciles as one bank line. The 23% on your MatPilot subscription is invoiced from Ireland with an Irish VAT number.
GDPR under the DPC, data in the EU
Your members' data lives in AWS in the EU (Stockholm), email goes out from an EU-verified domain, and every member and guardian can export or erase their data from the app. Under-18s' photos need a guardian's consent and are purged when it is withdrawn.
The Data Protection Commission is our regulator too, which is a different conversation from a processor in California.
The family academy
Kids classes are most of an Irish academy's evening. One parent pays once for every child on one subscription split per plan, siblings get their discount, a guardian signs the waiver for a minor from their own phone, and a child never sees a price.
Garda vetting is a rule you already follow; the compliance co-pilot keeps the reminders beside the roster. Informational, never a substitute for the vetting itself.

A website on your own domain, hosted here
The website product designs and builds your site, hosts it on our CloudFront and puts it on your own .ie or .com domain, with the timetable, prices and join link pulled live from the software. Brazier Jiu Jitsu's site is the first.

Questions Irish academies ask
Is my members' data held in the EU?
Yes. The database and files are in AWS's Stockholm region, transactional email is sent from an EU-verified domain, and the regulator is Ireland's Data Protection Commission. Export and erasure requests are handled from the app.
Can I connect Xero?
Yes, on Pro. You connect your own Xero, map each plan's VAT rate to a Xero tax rate, and every Stripe payment is pushed as an invoice and a payment against a Stripe clearing account. A payout then reconciles as a single bank line.
Which VAT rate applies to a membership?
That depends on what the membership is: use of facilities and tuition are treated differently, and rates in Ireland span 9%, 13.5% and 23%. MatPilot lets you set the rate per plan and shows it on every invoice; your accountant decides which rate is right, and the compliance co-pilot explains the distinction without giving tax advice.
Do you support SEPA direct debit?
Yes, through Stripe Ireland, alongside cards. A member sets it up once in the app and the monthly payment collects on its own; failed collections are retried and chased by the dunning flow.
Is there support in Ireland?
Yes. The company is in Dublin, support runs in Irish hours, and you can reach us from the help centre or the app. Our first customer is in Dublin 1.

No card required. Import your members from a spreadsheet in an afternoon.
